Old Tbilisi City

Old Tbilisi City

🗺 The Vibe

Hey there nomad! Kevin from Nomad for Less here, writing to you live from New York City. For this week’s edition of the newsletter, we’re going on a journey to a Central-Asian hotspot for digital nomads: Tbilisi, Georgia.

You step off the plane at Tbilisi International Airport, and the sweet smell of cherry blossoms fills your senses. As you make your way into the city, you admire the cobblestoned streets of the historic old town that are dotted with traditional Georgian balconies, while modern high-rises soar in the distance.

You settle into a cozy apartment in the charming Sololaki district and make your way to Impact Hub Tbilisi, one of many coworking spaces in the area, which is housed in a stunning 19th-century mansion. The space is buzzing with entrepreneurs, artists, and creatives, and you're welcomed into the community with open arms.

To relax, you take a dip in the ancient sulfur baths, which date back to the 17th century, and admire the colorful street art that adorns the city's walls. You sample traditional Georgian cuisine, like khinkali (dumplings) and khachapuri (cheese-filled bread), at a cozy cafe like Ezo.

But it's the people of Tbilisi that truly make the city special, and they are some of the friendliest in the world. You strike up conversations with locals at the bazaar, and they invite you to join them for a feast of wine, cheese, and fresh fruit. You attend a jazz concert at the historic Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, and you're blown away by the talent of the Georgian musicians.

You’ll fall in love with this vibrant city, with its warm hospitality, rich culture, and dynamic energy. Now let’s go explore it together!
